Sometimes the most unexpected weather gives you the most beautiful kind of magic.

I met up with Tristan and Kacy on a chilly, gray spring morning in downtown Northfield. The kind of day that starts with drizzle, a little wind, and just enough chill to make you second-guess your outfit. But from the moment these two showed up—laughing, bundled up, and completely unbothered by the weather—I knew we were going to have a great time.

There’s something special about shooting in less-than-perfect conditions. The streets were quiet, the soft overcast sky gave everything a dreamy, cinematic glow, and the little pockets of Northfield—brick walls, historic buildings, damp sidewalks—looked like something out of a storybook. We wandered, we laughed, we stopped at corners where the light hit just right. And through it all, Tristan and Kacy made it feel easy. They were playful, warm, totally themselves.

I love sessions like this. The ones where there’s no pressure to make it perfect—just a chance to capture something real. Rain or shine, these two brought their own light. And honestly? I think the weather made the whole thing even more romantic.

Tristan and Kacy, thanks for being down for anything (even chilly fingers and soggy shoes). Can’t wait for what’s next.
